PackBack is a network in which sturdy, high quality packaging, such as cups, is reused. With PackBack, to-go packaging no longer ends up in the trash. Instead, you can easily return packaging. This way we can avoid millions of kilos of waste together! Zero waste has never been so simple!

PackBack works with a depositless system. What does that mean? Instead of the customer having to pay money in advance, our system is completely free. To do this, the customer has to do two things: download the PackBack app and create an account. The great thing about this; it can be completed in 30 seconds. It doesn’t get any easier, does it? The customer scans the QR code at your counter with every new order. With a successful scan the customer will receive a confirmation on his/her phone. If this is correct you can offer them a reusable.

The customer only receives a green check if he/she has a valid PackBack account and no outstanding payments. Fortunately, the customer gets a message as to why they don’t have a green check, so refer to this if you get questions about it. With a few simple clicks they can rejoin the system.

PackBack is free as long as the reusable is returned on time. When creating an account, the consumer is asked to link a payment method in case the reusable is not returned or returned too late. In this way we can still charge the deposit amount which can be used to produce a new reusable.
The SmartBin is a smart waste bin. This bin is used to collect the reusables. The SmartBin scans which reusables are returned. This way we can ensure that customers do not have to pay money for the use of the reusables.

The consumer has x days to return the cup. We remind consumers by sending them a notification on their phone. The app also indicates how many days the consumer has to return a cup.
